Care Guide
Ostrich care:
To maintain ostrich leather’s distinctive softness and quill bumps, regularly wipe it with a soft, dry cloth and condition it every few months using a cream specifically for exotic leathers. Avoid water and direct heat, as excessive moisture can stain the hide while heat dries out the natural oils, leading to cracking.
Stingray leather care:
To care for stingray leather, which is naturally durable and covered in hard, pearl-like nodules, simply wipe it clean with a damp cloth and mild soap, as it resists scratching and scuffing very well. Avoid folding or creasing the material, and condition it sparingly with a leather balm meant for exotics to prevent the hide from drying out and cracking over time.
Pirarucu fish leather care
To care for pirarucu leather, which features a distinctive, scaly texture, regularly wipe it with a soft, slightly damp cloth—avoid soaking it, as moisture can get trapped beneath the scales. Condition sparingly with a leather conditioner designed for exotics, focusing on the creases between the large scales to prevent drying and cracking without oversaturating the hide.
Python leather care
To care for python leather, gently wipe it with a slightly damp cloth to remove dust, but never soak it, as moisture can get trapped between the delicate scales. Condition lightly every few months using a product specifically for exotic or reptile leathers to maintain flexibility, but avoid heavy oils that can lift or discolor the scales.
